THE SUPERWOMAN Trend | MusteredLady.com

I am sure you are wondering what I am talking about. In simple English I am talking about CAPES. This trend has been there for a long time.

And now to have this trend and to be able to incorporate it to our daily outfits is a “can’t wait” moment for me.

We have seen this trend also transcend its self from being a winter trend to being an all season trend. We have seen the likes of Lupita wear this cape trend on the red carpet. Don’t worry about this trend because I am going to show you some must have pieces and how you can incorporate this trend to your everyday fashion life.

I am all about covering up (surprisingly YES) and the superwoman trend is my kind of style - it’s elegant, sophisticated and simple.

The trick with most African print cape dress is that it ensures that the dress and the cape are of different pattern

Here are some celebrities who are rocking this look on the Red carpet:

Cameron is rocking a royal blue cape dress, while  Lupita opted for a off shoulder cape dress  and Gwneth went for an all white cape dress. How I love all these looks.

Solange Knowles is rocking a colored Chiffon And Jersey caped dress with ostrich feather embroidery.

Hope you have found some tips on this trend, so go out lady and be a Superwoman.

MONOCHROMATIC COLORS | MusteredLady.com

First it was Monochrome now its Monochromatic …. What is Monochromatic ? Wikipedia definition: colors are all the colors (tints, tones, and shades) of a single hue. So that’s the definition of Monochromatic, and when applied to fashion, it means dressing in one color from head to toe. Monochromatic outfits are popping up in full force and the nice thing about this trend is that it is an all season outfit. Now there was a time when I thought wearing all one color was a big NO NO, but now I am going for the one shade style on a regular basis. There is no secret trick to wearing monochromatic outfits, as long as you have tops, bottoms and accessories in the same color. If you are new to the Monochromatic game, I’ve got a few tips and current looks to help get you started!

The first step is to pull different pieces such as tops and blouses, jeans, pants, skirts and shoes from your closet in the one color you want to wear the most. Make sure you choose a color that looks great on you to make a full outfit, like in the outfit above, Royal Blue, from head to toe. I am loving this look.

If you are a first timer to Monochromatic, an All Black is the safest colour to start with.

Add some shoes and a clutch which are of a different color to your Monochromatic outfit.

White is stylish and sleek.

To an All black, add some accessories to lighten up the outfit.

Despite how trendy monochromatic dressing is, it’s actually quite timeless in that you’re choosing colors or shades that look good on you, not just what’s in style. And wearing one color is practical, especially the one that is transitioning from season to season. Most importantly, anyone of any size can pull it off, as long as you start with a hue that complements you.
