ARE YOU SUFFERING FROM THE “SINGLENESS” SYNDROME?
Being single is never the end of the world. I consider it highly dramatic when ladies become unnecessarily anxious just because all their mates are getting married and no sensible guy seems to be coming their way. I call this the “singleness” syndrome.
Some go into months of fasting while others go boy-friend hunting whilst settling for the next available man. In the midst of anxiety, a lot of ladies tend to settle for less than God’s best for their lives.
Does this ring a bell?
Today, I want to tell you about being single and satisfied. The truth is this-“If you’re not single and satisfied, you can never be “double” (in a relationship) and happy. There’s the place of finding who you really are and identifying your God-given purpose as a single individual. Being single, exempts you (for the time-being) from the distractions that emanate from relationships. It gives you more time to focus of developing yourself and taking your walk with God to the next level.
As much as I believe in the institution of marriage or having a healthy relationship, I don’t support the idea of rushing into it as a solution to your “singleness” syndrome. Until you find yourself in God as a single person, you can never do that successfully within the confinements of relationship.
