Dealing With Anger In A Relationship | MusteredLady.com

Dealing With Anger In A Relationship - How To Respond When Your Partner Upsets You?
How To Respond When Your Partner Upsets You?

What do you do when your partner upsets you?

What do you do when you’re angry in your relationship?

Do you respond in anger?

Do you avoid the situation?

Do you start telling all your friends about it?

More often than not, the reason a lot of relationships have problems is because of how we respond to anger, challenges, dissatisfaction in our relationship.

Today, I want to list steps that you can adopt when responding to an upsetting partner.

– Do not be tempted to say anything at that point in time

– Do not attempt to hit your partner

-Do not report your partner to friends and family members

– Talk to God about it

-Allow yourself to calm down then have a discussion with your partner

-Remind yourself of the love you share with your partner

-Do not overeact

-Try and understand your partner

Every Relationship Has Obstacles | Tips That Can Transform Your Relationship – Mustered Lady Relationship | MusteredLady.com

Every Relationship Has Obstacles

Every Relationship Has Obstacles

“Every relationship has obstacles; what matters is how you work with your partner to successfully handle any obstacles”

Some think love can be measured by the amount of butterflies in their tummy. Others think love can be measured in bunches of flowers, or by using the words ‘for ever.’ But love can only truly be measured by actions. It can be a small thing, such as peeling an orange for a person you love because you know they don’t like doing it. – Marian Keyes

STAYING VOID OF RELATIONSHIP OFFENSES - Mustered Lady Relationship | MusteredLady.com

STAYING VOID OF RELATIONSHIP OFFENSES

There is no relationship that is void of offences and so don’t expect your partner to be an angel with no faults or errors whatsoever. The minute you understand this, the easier it is for you to cultivate the habit of “staying void of relationship offenses”. Offenses will always arise whether you want them or not; even if you try to avoid them or act without offense. However, you can decide on whether or not you want to be offended by your partner. As a matter of fact, you can practice “forgiveness in advance” where you decide to forgive your partner even before they hurt you. This way, you don’t place undue expectations on your partner and you find it easier to move past hurts, offences and wrong-doings by your partner.

Staying void of being offended in a relationship is to develop a thick skin that is resistant to any form of offence regardless of how insulting it might feel. It is deciding that no matter what you partner does or stays, you might display “healthy anger” but you won’t allow the sun to go down on your anger. When I talk about “healthy anger”, I’m referring to the kind of anger that doesn’t seek revenge or transfer aggression or appease itself by hurting someone else. It is making up your mind that you won’t respond in a hurtful tone to a hurting partner who used offensive words on you; it is telling yourself that the “love” you have for your partner would supersede any obstacle, challenge or offense that might threaten to tear your relationship apart.
