Whew, it’s hot. I took these images before I left for Europe on another hot summery day. Button down shirts are my favorites so naturally I’m a fan of shirt dresses as well. I got this shirtdress probably more than a year ago from Charlie by Matthew Zink which is a swimwear brand and I never got a chance to wear it. While organizing my closet, I rediscovered this shirtdress and the same dress I got in blue (which you can see here.) I should organize my closet more often because it’s like going shopping! haha

The thing about shirt dresses is that you can unbutton and show a bit (or a lot) of skin and create different moods. I wore my shirt dress with my favorite two tone Celine sandals and the usual suspect, my Celine mini box bag.

I accessorized with my favorite marble pyramid bracelets (completely sold out!) and my two dainty necklaces. I shot these images with my new and first intern Christina who happens in Downtown L.A. We went by the city hall and I rediscovered how gorgeous the City Hall is when it’s empty.

I can’t believe I’ve never shared this outfit on the blog. This was one of my favorite outfits from Paris Fashion Week and I was in full Chloe (except for the amazing rainbow colored Oscar Tiye wing heels) to attend the Chloe Fall 2015 show.

Chloe was always such an aspirational brand for me. I’ve always admired the Chloe aesthetic for as long as I could remember but I became absolutely in love with the brand around 2005, when I saw the striking campaign images of Julia Stegner and Anja Rubik shot by one of my ultimate favorite photographers Inez and Vinoodh. I ripped those images right out of a magazine and had them taped on my bedroom wall.

It’s been 10 years since then and I would’ve never imagined to be dressed in all Chloe and attend their fashion show sitting front row and watching my childhood favorite models walk down the runway. If you told me this 10 years ago, or even 5 years ago, I would’ve probably said ‘yeah, right.’

This was my second Chloe show that I attended and it surely did not disappoint. I’m so excited for the upcoming seasons and I’m sure you all can agree that Chloe has created so many iconic bags, the Drew bag being one of them, so I’m excited to see what’s next for them!

Talk about finding the perfect pun which addresses the scene of the photoshoot and, at the same time, what 2014 has been to me: The Coach.

I’ve learnt so much this year. From becoming aware of the power of the mind after witnessing some impossible goals come true, to understanding the importance of backing up my work after my laptop crashed (the most painful lesson of all).

I’ve always been the kind of person who likes to work towards goals be it simple to-do lists that I set out for myself on a daily basis, or a ridiculous, audacious five year goal that seems impossible. Setting these goals not only allows me to focus better but I also become accountable. For me, that’s what this time of the year is about; it’s a chance to look back and see what you were able to accomplish and re-write a new set of goals for yourself. That being said, January 1st is not the only time one can write these goals down but it does have a nice ring to it, doesn’t it?
