H&M set to open new stores in Australia
H&M is fast penetrating major markets around the world and one of its strongest sales market is in Australia as the company seeks to launch more stores in Sydney, Perth and Brisbane to be precise. Ever since the launch of it’s first store in Australia, the Swedish department store has since expanded to several parts of Australia as it seeks to impress several Australian shoppers.
The global brand which is hardly referred to as Hennes & Mauritz has since released a report showcasing that Australia is currently it’s fastest growing market and in six (6) months, it has recorded $78.43 million worth of sales, making them the best performing market of H&M’s 3500 stores around the world.

Growing: The results mean H&M will be opening up three new Australian stores and hiring 1000 extra staff
The Australian H&M Manager- Hans Andersson has also disclosed that by reason of this growth,H&M will be employing additional 1000 staff this year as they look to reach more parts of Australia. He went on to explain that ‘Australian customers really like the idea that you can combine good quality, trendy fashion with fantastic prices,’
‘We will open three more stores here in the second half, of which two will be large flagship stores in Sydney and Brisbane, and we will also open a big store in Perth.’ added Mr Andersson.
Flagship: The new Sydney store will be double the size of the store at Macquarie Centre (right)
CBD: The Sydney store will be on Pitt Street in Sydney’s CBD and also sell homewares
Excited Australian shoppers are seriously looking forward to the launch of the new stores as over 15,000 people attended the Melbourne store on its first day.
