On Sunday night, Mel Gibson was spotted by festival organisers as he came out of a French art house film when he ran into an Israeli film festival crowd.
The 59 year old was with his 24 year old partner- Rosalind Ross. Apparently, they had planned a subtle movie night at the Palace Verona cinemas in trendy Paddington, Sydney, watching the acclaimed drama Far From Men.
The pair left the theatre on Sunday evening along with other moviegoers who were coming out of an Israeli Film Festival screening.
According to festival artistic director Richard Moore- ‘Our screening of (Israeli film) Matti Caspi – Confession came out exactly at the same time as Far From Men – so talk about wrong place, wrong time,’.

Reported to be under investigation by police for a spat with a photographer where he allegedly pushed the lady involved, more details have emerged of movie star Mel Gibson’s controversial night at the movies during the weekend. He was seen with partner Rosalind Ross.
In 2006, Gibson made some anti-Semitic remarks to a Florida policeman in 2006 and has since become a figure of some controversy.
A police report was released during this occurrence and it implied that the actor spoke rudely to a sheriff while saying : ‘F***ing Jews. The Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world.’
