When you have series of shark attacks going on repeatedly in a area, you won’t blame anyone that decides to take the required precaution. Locals in North Carolina have decided to step up with shark protection wears especially when going for a cool swim at the beach that is believed to have sharks.
Following the shark attack situation, a recently uploaded YouTube video which was posted on Tuesday displays a couple trying to protect their-selves by wearing shark cages as the try to enjoy the waves.
In an interesting footage which was first shown on local news site- The Outer Banks Voice; the beach lifeguard is seen trying to put an end to the stunt by asking them to return to shore.
Who would blame the innocent couple? After-all, in the course of summer, over eight (8) shark attacks have been reported single-handedly on North Carolina beach. With two (2) attacks being just ninety(90) minutes apart and giving rise to two (2) teenagers losing their limbs to the unfortunate shark attack.
The first attack was suffered by 12 year old Kiersten Yow on June 14 and she was recently released from the hospital on July 13- about a month after. The injuries from the shark led to the doctors being forced to remove her left arm which falls below her elbow.
The affected teens have since being optimistic about getting better soon.
