If there’s one word that could be used to describe Ol Pejeta House, it would have to be grand. From the high ceilings to the spacious rooms and bigger than life furniture, everything exudes an incredibly opulent yet equally inviting sense of luxury. No doubt this property is just one of the many hidden gems in Kenya but with a rare and endearing quality that will never leave you tired of visiting – sort of like a home away from home, only 100 times bigger and better.
From the moment I stepped into this room, I knew it would be the perfect backdrop to this beautiful, fitted gown. They had the white version in the store which, as silly as this may sound, I was scared to even try on, at first. The thought of wearing a white dress still scares me a little and I get really nervous about it although that’s a story for another day. Now if only I could have convinced everyone else to show up dressed ready for a black tie event.
