The Grunge Mood

Taking a leaf from the grunge mood
The other day I watched this insightful HBO Documentary, In Vogue: The Editor’s Eye. It’s a 2012 movie taking you through the minds of the people behind Vogue’s provocative pictures and it’s one of those films I’d recommend to anyone, especially those interested in fashion or photography. At some point in the film, the legendary Grace Coddington starts to describe the time in fashion where grunge was everything. To be honest, I pray that trend never really finds its way back but that being said, I couldn’t stop thinking about those images she created and I felt inspired to take a leaf from the grunge mood.
Granted I’m not really a grunge kind of girl and chances are I’ll never be, but that doesn’t mean I don’t want to explore this era and personalise it to fit my style. I’ve already got ideas of how to recreate another grunge look using these boots and a plaid shirt. Can’t wait to share it with you!
I guess that’s why I love fashion so much… we can choose to interpret it as we like and consequently transform ourselves. What better way to exercise your creativity?
Love and love.
