Attorneys of accused murderer Robert Durst (son of wealthy real estate family) filed in complaints to the court stating that the millionaire was unjustly and unlawfully arrested on Saturday march 14 and should be released.t The motion filed by the attorney disagreed with the fact that the warrant used to arrest the 71 year old Robert Durst was unlawful and was made to coincide with HBO’s docudrama ‘The Jinx’ according to The New Orleans Advocate.
Durst who has had previous convictions for bail jumping, witness tampering and firearms offences is currently accused with the execution of his friend Susan Berman in California in 2000 by the execution-style shooting death. Durst had already been booked in Louisiana on charges of possession of a a weapon with a controlled substance illegally and a gun.
Durst lawyers sought a hearing in order to prove that there is no reasonable cause to keep him in custody and demanded his release,. The lawyers also requested that the judge order the preservation of evidence from the scene where Durst was arrested i.e JW Marriott hotel. His lawyers are also seeking access to all records that related their client and Everett Ward, which was the name he used to check into the hotel according to CBS News reports. The judge agreed for a bond hearing on Monday. Durst is currently being held in a Louisiana state facility where reports have shown he is deemed a suicide risk.

In the meantime investigators have found a loaded gun, a latex mask, about $43000 in cash, a fake ID in the hotel room where Durst was arrested in accordance with a search warrant.
