Do you remember the very famous Nikki Lund?
Let’s take a trip down memory lane. Nikki Lund is popularly known as Nikki Rich due to her rock n roll based women’s lines which involved her working hand in hand with Bon Jovi’s Richie Sambora.
Well, Nikki is out to amaze us with a debut of a new and exciting collection that covers men and women. Keeping the style simple and fabulous for the ladies, Nikki showcased her skills in mixing materials and textures such as metallic tweed, color-blocked suede, pleated chiffon and tasseled Navajo-style knits to create a night wardrobe the Californian style.
Some other looks she showcased to us, include cropped jackets that can be worn with skinny pants, body fitted dressed and what we call, diaphanous skirts. As if Lund wasn’t done with making us smile, she showcased a few hand-painted floral pieces as well and a leather gowned that was deeply connected with lace and floral leather pieces.
For the men, Lund kept it really simple by giving us jackets to live for. Ranging from textured wool to distressed leather, she created style for Sambora and musicians like Steven Tyler and Brad Paisley to wear during their tour.
According to Lund, she learned a lot of what she knows from working with Robert Plant and Blake Shelton. This for her, is the basis of her simplicity. [wwd]
