Naked Cyclists around the world demonstrated last Saturday against world"s dependence on oil | MusteredLady.com

Cyclists around the world celebrated the sixth annual World Naked Bike Ride last Saturday. Among the objectives of these naked cyclists, is their demonstration against world’s dependence on fossil oil.

The World Naked Bike Ride (WNBR) is an international clothing-optional bike ride in which participants plan, meet and ride together en masse on human-powered transport (the vast majority on bicycles, but some on skateboards and inline skates), to “deliver a vision of a cleaner, safer, body-positive world.”
The dress code motto is “bare as you dare”.Full or partial nudity is encouraged, but not mandatory. There is no mandate to cover intimate parts; this is a distinguishing feature of the WNBR against other cycling events.[Wikipedia]

In San Francisco, around 30 cylists gathered to be part of this worldwide annual event. In this year’s ride, the group rode in solidarity with Brazil, Australia, New Zealand and other cities across the Southern Hemisphere.  And to be sure that their this year’s message will be heard, the group whizzed through  such tourist hot spots as Fisherman’s Wharf, the Marina, Embarcadero and the Haight in the city of San Francisco.
