Eddie Redmayne plays a transgender woman in new role
Just recently, Eddie Redmayne took up a very unique role just after winning Best Actor Oscar for playing Stephen Hawking.
Eddie is starring as a transgender artist named Einar Wegener in the movie titled- “The Danish Girl”. What strikes us the most is the fact that in this movie, Eddie will be wearing make-up and a gorgeous pair of stilettos. The movie is set in the 1920s and tells a tale of how Einar and his wife struggle against prejudice.
The movie is directed by the one and only Alexandra Reynolds who starts alongside Amber Heard and Alicia Vikander. In taking up this transgender role, Eddie made it a point of duty to speak with members of the transgender community so as to learn more about the role and what was expected of him. Speaking recently, Eddie stated gently “We’re looking at everything from the perspective of a woman. How to sit, to walk, to pose, roll on a pair of stockings; how to wear heels and walk in them. We’re looking at Everything.”
Despite the danger associated with surgery, Eddie was willing to take up the role and take on any surgery required. If there’s one fact that impresses us, it’s the fact that he’s pursuing his dream with so much vigor.
