Isabella Emmack is like any other aspiring career model. She is talented, beautiful and young. At age 16, she is currently one of the hottest sought after models in the industry. Any one who knows about the ins and outs of the model industry, will tell you that it is a highly competitive sector.

To be a successful model today, every appeal about you has to be in the right proportion, every appeal about you , must conform to the industry’s standards. For instance as a model, if you happen to be too beautiful, you will have problems being selected during castings. You may be wondering why. The industry is so focused on the products they display during fashion shows that if you are too beautiful, your beauty might divert show attendees attention from the product you will be wearing to your personality. If you are too short or too tall, in the same manner your chances of making it successfully in the industry becomes improbable.

Having said that, another feature that casting agencies look at in order to sign on models, is their ability to wear long hair, as occasion demands. For this reason, most models these days just keep and maintain long as part of their career must haves.

So, you can imagine what it is like, to be a career model and then take the risk of shortening one’s hair. And that’s exactly the risk Isabella Emmack took. And although that move has paid off positively, it is a journey she has vowed never to embark on again.

When asked whether she was nervous to have her hair shortened, this is what Isabella said,

“I did build my book in New York and I came here and test shot. My long hair is what got me signed; it was my look, so being so dramatic and changing that much is a risk. It was a risk I was willing to take, and it ended up being good, but I don’t know if I would take the same risk again!” [StyleDotCom]

Isabella also had an idea, when she got her long hair shortened. She wanted to, by so doing, stand out from among her colleagues, during fashion shows in this Fall 2015 season.
