Fear and pandemonium sprung across citizens based in Mousehold Heath, Norwich as the public reported the case of a dangerous weapon being wielded by a young adult. Members of the Norwich Firearm office and cops were deployed to Mousehold Heath as a search for the culprit began.
It was in the midst of noisy alarms, aggressive police dogs and agile police officers that the suspects mother gave a call to the control office of Norfolk’s police. She then stated that the suspected culprit was her son who was carrying out a college project that involved the use of a toy sword that couldn’t cause any harm. Apparently, it was another case of false alarm.
The Norwich Police Force had to be put on standstill and recalled after the mother’s explanation and brief interaction with the supposed culprit. Superintendent Start Gunn gave a general word of advice to the public stating that individuals who wanted to embark on projects that could raise public concern or prompt unnecessary police intervention were expected to notify the police in advance before carrying out such projects so that appropriate advice could be given.
He went on to give information on the fact that it was the duty of the police to protect citizens and that they have to act on any concern raised by a member of the general public issued at any point in time. [DailyMail]
