If you’ve read the post on “how to identify wife material” then this term should not be new to you. However, for the benefit of those who are stumbling upon this article for the first time, let’s take a look at the definition of a “husband-material”. This simply refers to a man that is fit for a successful marriage; a man that will love his wife as Christ loves the church; a man that will take care of his home until his dying breath; a man that will support his wife with everything he has; a man that will make for a peaceful, loving, happy and Christ-filled home.
Let’s not look at how to identify husband material. A husband material, who is he?:
HE’S GOD-FEARING: The first thing you need to know about a “husband material” is that he fears God; all of his decisions, actions, and reactions depicts this fact. His love for God and fear of God will cause him to keep to his vow when he marries you, regardless of the marital challenges. Knowing that he wants to please God as a God-fearing man, he will avoid hurting you and will do everything to ensure that the home remains on the solid rock of Christ.
HE HAS VISION: Ladies, ladies, ladies! Please stay away from a man that doesn’t have a tangible vision; he will only be a burden to you. A “husband material” knows what he wants, how he’s going to achieve it; where he is going, how he’s going to get there; what he sees and how he’s going to make it a reality. As a woman of vision, you should associate yourself with someone who knows where he is going.
HE GENUINELY LOVES YOU: I know that the word love is pretty “vague” and has been commonized into mere feelings. However, in the true definition of love, a “husband material” will genuinely love you and no matter the challenges, obstacles and road-blocks you face with him, he will always be by your side. Together you and him will subdue mountains, overcome challenges and sing a love song that will last till eternity.
