Why You Should Marry Him – Are You Both Sincerely In Love? Do You Complement Each Other?
With the increasing rate of divorce in our society, it becomes highly important that you “open” your eyes so that you don’t end up getting married to the person.
It takes more than “I love him” to sustain a relationship…..how much more marriage. Marriage is a commitment and it doesn’t make sense to run into it and run out of it when you feel like. Beyond religious beliefs, ending a marriage affects both families involved and when children are involved, it’s unfair to subject them to the pain of divorce or separation.
It therefore becomes important that we consider some of the reasons why we consider dating a guy and even want to go as far as getting married to him.
You’re BOTH sincerely in love: Let me start by stating that a lot of people often mistake love for lust and that is very wrong. Lust is a feeling of strong desire, especially of a sexual nature while Love on the other hand is an intense feeling of affection and care towards another person
Love is completely different from lust. In most cases, what people refer to as love is often lust and lust never stands the test of time. You should marry him because he loves you and not with you for just sex! You should marry him because you genuinely love him and you’re not with him because of his material possession.
You MAKE each other: Relationships are more often than not, a paraphrased view of how your marriage will look. If you’re dating a guy and you can’t point to ways in which your association with him has made you a better person, then you should begin to reconsider why you are with him. In your relationship which should culminate into marriage, you should see signs that a guy is making you and not breaking you. Also, you should do your part by ensuring that you are adding value to his life and not bringing him down. You should marry him because he makes you and you do same to him.
You COMPLEMENT each other: One of the reasons a lot of people rush out of marriage is usually due to “IRRECONCILABLE DIFFERENCES”. Before you even think of dating a guy, you should be able to tell whether he complements you or contrasts you. Your similarities, likes, values, beliefs should outweigh your differences. You should marry him because you complement each other.
