You met this guy last month and it’s been difficult to get him out of your head. You see him when you’re asleep and find yourself thinking about him even when you’re very busy. As if that’s not enough, he calls you ten (10) times a day and has been nothing short of “very sweet”. You are beginning to feel like this is your own “Cinderella story” and you’ve finally found that guy who’s going to give you a happily ever after.
And just when you least expect, he pops up that question saying “I want you to be my girl-friend”. You are happy, excited, shocked and confused at the same time. You don’t know whether you’re rushing things by saying yes! And you’re scared that if you delay your response, you might lose him.
Alright! Take a chill pill! Relationships are not games that you can stop playing when you get bored. They are an investment of time, money, emotions and resources that you can’t afford to waste. It therefore becomes important that you take your time when trying to identify Prince Charming.
Identifying Prince-charming is very simple when you take note of the following:
He must see the same thing as you: Can two (2) walk together except they agree? Prince Charming must have the same views and beliefs as you. Your dreams and goals must synchronize with his. You must complement each other and not contradict each other.
He must be vision-driven: Umh! Did I mention that a prince without a vision is like a blind man going nowhere? You can’t afford to be with a guy who doesn’t have the slightest idea of what he wants to do with his life. If he’s not driven by a vision then trust me, he has no plans for you.
He must truly love you: A guy who has the above but doesn’t love you is like a fraudster waiting for the perfect moment to defraud you! Prince Charming has to be crazy about you such that everything about him says this and he can’t hide it! If he doesn’t love you then he’s not Prince Charming!
