Kaftans were first worn as court robes with lavish decorations indicating rank of the wearer. However today, for a new twist to suite the modern lady, designs have emerged from the use of different fabrics, using intricate or simple patterns. One interesting flexibility that kaftans possess, is that they can be used with tights, jeans, pants, skirts or just as plainly as a lady feels like.
