Lisa has perfected the use of fabrics such as the African Ankara in fashion. In her design work, she maintains a strong eye for tailoring and fit, the results of which she is able to bring out the femininity and silhouette-ness which the modern African lady requires. Make no mistake, she also designs men’s clothing.

Aside from the  world class bag designers like Hermes, Michael Korrs, Celine, Chanel etc you can’t help but notice the bags made with African textiles. These bags are made from popular African print fabrics, such as ‘Ankara’,’Shweshwe’ or ‘Kitenge’. These African print bags are also made in different shapes and designs, and they are mostly rocked with casual outfits:

Handbags are ideal to use when going to work, trips, picnics, but definitely not to a party. There are smaller purses made for events like parties, dancing and dinner, these purses are also called ‘clutch bags’ in some areas.

 

As a mustered lady, it will be a huge fashion faux pas to take a huge handbag to a cocktail party or dinner dates.  In the other way round too, you also can’t take a clutch purse to work, as it may not contain everything you need for the day at work, so you need a tote bag to bag up all your business.
