When is your day off and how do you dress on such days? Like Alexander Wang once said “Anyone can get dressed up and glamorous, but it is how people dress in their days off that are the most intriguing.” From Monday to Friday, have got my game face on and if you meet me at some event I’m likely to be all about the glam but am I always like that? Absolutely not! Have got some days in which I just want to go back to the basics, a simple jeans and the next top I can grab but no I don’t aim for the flip flops. Those are also the days I choose to rock my most colorful shoes! I love color and I enjoy using it to create contrast, a simple outfit paired with some gorgeous heels give me life and suddenly we move up from basic day off to chic day off!

This Year I’m Leaning Towards Burgundy And Camel | @LuciaMusau on Coatigan | MusteredLady.com

When I came in this city I use to dread the cold weather, I know ‘hate’ is a strong word but I really hated the cold. But then how exactly are you supposed to hate what you have to live with? At some point I had to come into terms with it. I looked for ways and things which could get me excited about the cold! It was a long search which required a lot of ‘self-talk’ but I can proudly say I found the one thing which makes me look forward to the cold season. Dressing up for the cold! I always look forward to taking out my trench coats and boots in this season! Pairing combinations which you didn’t even know could work. The trick is to start looking for seasonal pieces way in advance and find items which compliment your existing wardrobe.

This year I’m leaning towards burgundy and camel! I love the richness of burgundy and I love how you can easily pair it up with anything and a simple dress is immediately transformed. However, I must say in this look what caught my attention…or rather the ‘bombshell’ were the ‘shoes’ I mean these shoes make you suddenly get a spring on your step!
