The 10th annual Purses and Pursenalities held yesterday at the Metropolitan Club in New York. Some of the persons that were honoured include- Sandro Choi (the creative director of Jimmy Choo); Karen Klopp (What2WearWhere), Amber Sabathia, Tim Gunn, creator and designer of CCandy/ wife of New York Yankees star CC Sabathia.

The aim of the Purses & Pursenalities luncheon was to gather funds for the Madison Square Boys & Girls Club. It included auctions of bags from top designer brands such as DKNY, Marc Jacobs, Carolina Herrera, Giorgio Armani, Ralph Lauren and Fairchild Bladwin.



Some of the guests included Hilary Dick, Jennifer Creel, Jill Roosevelt, Nicole Miller, Rachel Lee Hovnanian, Jill Fairchild and the evening was stuffed with lots of food ranging from Branzino to vegetables. Most of the topics discussed were primarily focused on inspiring the youth and moving the club forward.

Also, during the luncheon; Kloop revealed that she is writing a book titled “What 2 Wear Where Packing for Travel”. Also, Collins stated that her book “The God of Driving” is being translated into a movie. When given her award, Sabathia gave a heart-warming speech as she spoke about the fact that this was the first time she was being honoured as against the usual recognition of her and CC.

I’ve been in the mood to be a little more tomboyish, I’m talking tennis shoes, hair tied, blazers etc. I feel this a different type of edge but still feminine. I love the shoes! They are perfectly gold and as soon as I seen them I jumped on them immediately. It was crazy how fast I whipped out my debit card. I have been in need of some awesome new pieces to the closet. I bought the blazer from Ralph Lauren as well. The blazer is so soft but it still has weight to it without being heavy. I wanted some ripped up denim and I just so happened to have a pair on stand by…  Sky Conner

Happy new year to everyone, first of all. I hope you had a blast last month and especially during the festive last weeks of 2014.

Today, I begin a series on, “Being A Mum And Staying Sexy”. I will begin this debut post with the Supermodel Alessandra Ambriosio. This series will feature other notable mustered ladies as well in subsequent posts, but let me get to business now, with the focus on Alessandra Ambriosio.

Alessandra, many of you already know that she is a model, and a successful one at that. She and her colleague, Adriana Lima, recently led the Victoria’s Secret Show catwalk models, at the 2014 VS Show at Earls Court in London, on December 2nd. Many know the beautiful Brazilian model Alessandra, for the many brands such as Next, Armani Exchange, Christian Dior, Ralph Lauren, Chanel and Victoria’s Secret, for which she has modeled.

However, many still aren’t aware that Alessandra is a mum too. She already has 2 lovely kids, in addition to maintaining a busy work schedule. And in spite of all these, she is able to keep and maintain a good figure.

As a matter of fact, Alessandra is one of the sexiest models in the world today! So, the question is, how is she able to get all working out so perfectly together for her? In the vid clip you are about to watch below, Alessandra shares some of her “what goes on behind the scenes”, to arrive at the results she’s getting.

 

 

Alessandra, is like any other young mother. The difference she brings on board, is the extra efforts she engages to maintain a balance between possessing a good figure and being great mum that she is, to her kids. One thing I have noticed about Alessandra, is that she has a worth-emulating sense of personal time management and the discipline to follow these time schedules of hers.

I am sure, any young mum who balances her time between her kids, her career, her “boo” and herself, in the same way as Alessandra does, she too can get the same results. It’s all about your efforts. Most of our partners are willing to be of help to us, but it takes personal efforts to get good figure results, and stay sexy.
