Elsa Hosk- a leading model at Victoria"s Secret is not just into wearing jeans and nailing the chic look, she"s also great at making it. The beautiful model recently teamed up with Re/Done | Levi’s on The Elsa.
This simply involves, a pair of curve-skimming flares with the covetable throwback durability only found in vintage jeans, complete with a baby-bell hem and a notable standout feature— a slit in the middle of the cuff.
In a recent interview, Hosk made mention of the fact that jeans depending on how it is styled can make the legs look longer.
In Hosk"s words:
“I always have had this idea that when a jean is too long it kind of makes the legs look longer. If you wear a boot with them, the pant will just ‘shawl’ over,”
“It will look really cool and it will make your legs really long. The slit makes the jeans shape naturally over them.” says Hosk.
Hosk is one denim head and has an Instagram feed that displays a handful of snaps which features the tow-headed stunner in different styles of her denim that range from distressed jeans to dark-wash strapless jumpsuit with sheared cuffs, sexy riff on the mom jeans as high cut-offs.
Beyond this, her partnership with Re/Done | Levi’s, has altered the game when it comes to modernizing vintage denim and this is something that Hosk is familiar with.
Since she was a teenager, Hosk has been working with denim pieces.
“I have had an obsession with vintage Levi’s since I was 13. I would buy them and take them apart in my room and sew them together,”
“When I found out Re/Done | Levi’s did that, I was like, ‘This is my idea!’” Hosks reveals.
Ever since then, Hosk has been in search of vintage pieces with her favorite being a dark-wash pair with a super wide leg. Sadly, it didn"t last long due to her DIY customization methods.
Hosks laugh as she says “I wish I still had them!”
“I took them apart at some point.” says Hosks.
Thankfully, she doesn"t need to bother about the loss of a beloved jeans to homemade splicing and dicing as she now works professionally in customization roots with a very cool, supermodel-approved pair to prove it.
