3 Reasons You Shouldn’t Let Go
Today, I want to share with you- reasons why you shouldn’t let go regardless of how tempting it is.
N.B: If you’re in an abusive relationship or a relationship that constantly takes away your happiness, don’t even try to debate whether you should stay or not. Stop reading at this point and leave.
However, if you are facing a challenge or an obstacle in your relationship that almost seems greater than you, I want to share with you- reasons why you shouldn’t let go.
No relationship is challenge-free: Just because things don’t seem to be working at the moment doesn’t mean that it will permanently remain like this. Every relationship is subject to issues, challenges and obstacles- what matters is being able to look past these problems , overcome them and fight to save your relationship. If you let go of this relationship because things are not working out, what’s the guarantee that you won’t suffer same in another relationship. Successful relationships require tolerance, hard work, commitment and dedication.
You heard God on the relationship: If you heard God on the relationship then you shouldn’t let go just like that. You should go back to God and remind yourself of the sign that God gave you concerning this particular relationship. Walking out is not always the answer, talking to God is.
You haven’t given your best to solve the relationship issues: I know you’ve tried- you’re embraced understanding, spoken to your pastor, tried to be better for your partner, made sacrifices and compromised where required. But truth is- this is not enough. Love is tough and that’s why if we sincerely care about someone, we shouldn’t give up on them too easily. Give your best to making things work- seek to know what went wrong and how things can be fixed; seek to help your partner understand you better. Give your best and watch your relationship turn around for the better.
