Taylor Swift is all over the news and here’s why- the 25 year old singer made serious allegations against a renowned Technology giant- Apple. She accused the company of refusing to pay artists on its new streaming service.

In an open letter revealed on her Tumblr account, the blonde celebrity took time to explain her anger at Apple and has decided not to give her 1989 album to the company. When fans came after her, she was kind enough to disclose her reasons.

Tayor also went ahead to remove her music from rival service provider- Spotify; she also stated the following

“I’m sure you are aware that Apple Music will be offering a free 3 month trial to anyone who signs up for the service.

According to Taylor, during those free three months; Apple will not be giving any form of compensation or payment to writers, producers or even the artists involved.

Taylor was quick to add her disgust, shock and disappointment over such a company as Apple which is known to be highly progressive and very generous.Taylor Swift slams Apple for not paying artists as the company changes it policy because of her

Taylor also made it known that her actions will in no way affect her own financial wellbeing and also insisted that those revelations were made for good reasons and not because she’s a spoiled, petulant child.

Beautiful Taylor concluded her letter with this notice:

“It’s not too late to change this policy. We don’t ask you for free iPhones. Please don’t ask us to provide you with our music for no compensation.”

Her letter did have tremendous effects as after its publication, the Senior Vice-President of Internet Software and Services of Apple- Eddy Cue has suggested that the company will make moves to change this policy.

Although Taylor acknowledged the move will not make a huge difference to her own financial well-being, she insisted her actions were not those of “a spoiled, petulant child”.

In a tweet released, he stated: “#AppleMusic will pay artist for streaming, even during customer’s free trial period.”

“We hear you @taylorswift13 and indie artists. Love, Apple.”

Taylor was excited at their response as she responded in an elated tweet: “I am elated and relieved. Thank you for your words of support today. They listened to us.”
