Reports and research over time has revealed the surprising benefits of marriage. A very interesting report did a survey involving 9,000 people who were born in March 1958 and were involved in British National Child Development Study for several years. During 2002-2004, they were monitored by nurses who took note of their brain activity and breathing function.
After a long research, it was decided that marriage had an array of benefits with included- health benefits. In fact, the healthiest women were the ones who were still married by their late 20s or early 30s and remained in their marriage.
Apparently, if you get married to a person, not only will you get the advantage of companionship, your health will also be enjoying a lot from the union. According to a recent study, marriage does wonders to the body and men are higher beneficiaries of what marriage has to offer. Scientists also discovered that those that get divorced and decide to marry again will experience significant improvement in their bodies.
Despite the inclusion of wealth, class, health differences as well as children, educational achievements; the positive effects of marriage didn’t change.
The study was conducted by the Institute of Education at University College London and is in line with several reports and studies from around the world which have concluded that marriage gives good health and long life.
