In painful news, a 19 year old named Charlotte lost her life after consuming excess amounts of paracetamol which was indicted by a trend online that urges adolescents to take the drug. This happened in 2011 but what’s more sad, is the fact that this trend is still in fact- alive.
Charlotte’s parents- Mandy and Peter were in complete shock after their daughter died some days before their wedding following a split for her partner and then high ingestion of several pills.
Despite her being rushed to the hospital, it was too late to revive her as she gave up her ghost the next day leaving her friends and family in mourning.
Charlotte was just 19 when she died and her 48-year-old mother Mandy is now sending a warning to all other parents and teenagers across the world.

In a warning to other careless teenagers online- Mandy voices out “Don’t end up like my daughter did”. This came up after a new trend emerged online which involved teenagers challenging each other to consume large amounts of paracetamol.
According to Yorkshire Evening Post, the excessive amount of paracetamol destroyed Charlotte’s liver despite the fact that she made herself sick.
However, this new dangerous online trend has come up again and is advising young individuals to take exorbitant quantities of the drug in what has been tagged – “Paracetamol Challenge”.
Just recently, it was reported that a teenager in Ayrshire has been taken to the hospital after partaking in this so called challenge. Hence prompting his secondary school and the police to warn children and parents about such dangerous acts.
