After the awful tornado that affected Nashville, Arkansas; a sad story about a young couple living in the area recently surfaced. Apparently this couple died after the tornado destroyed their home but what is most striking about the story is their display of love for their 1-year-old daughter.
When neighbours attempted to help them, they realized that the couple covered their little baby who survived the incident without a scratch. It was sad to see the loss but precious to know that the child was saved. The unfortunate storm rocked the mobile home where 28 year old Michael and 29 year old Mellissa Mooneyhan lived around 11:20pm on Sunday. It happened in the night and before a rescue team could arrive the scene, the couple lost their lives but saved their baby.
Melissa’s close friend- Linda Purtell had an interview with KTHV News where she revealed that in her opinion, the late couple died as heroes.
“They were together and trying to protect the child” Purtell continued. The Howard County Coroner explained to KSLA News that the tornado overthrew the Mooneyhans’ trailer and caused it to explode.
“It’s even more disheartening to think of the fact that the little girl will grow wondering about her parents but then, she’s young enough not to remember what happened” Coroner Gray stated. [People, Celebrity News]
