Did you know that boxing happens to be the sport choice for fashion?
Well, it is Fashion’s Favourite Sport and just recently, it was featured in Taylor Swift’s most recent music video- the one that was filled with stars. Yes, it was titled- “Bad Blood”. This only goes a long way to show that boxing is maintaining it’s role as fashion’s sport choice and we can relax our minds knowing that it might not be leaving anytime soon.
According to the founder of Manhattan’s Shadowbox studio- Daniel Glazer , “Boxing is everything but a fad”. He made reference to the fact that Boxing has been researched and it has well proven muscle-toning, calorie burning advantages that even served as part of his motivation for creating the Flatiron space.
Glazer went on to explain that “Most boxing gymnasiums were designed to train fighters in a ‘no pain- no gain’ scenario”. This expression of ‘no pain-no gain’ is said to be associated with the sport. Beyond this, Glazer stated that he was out to work against the intimidation factor attributed to boxing and make it more appealing to majority of the public. The well known sport is also commonly embraced for its advantages which many people are not aware of.
Part of the benefits that Glazer was out to buttress include: White-washed walls flank a juice and coffee bar, sleek bright locker rooms offer C.O. Bigelow beauty products, and a vintage boxing ring reserved for private training sessions features barnwood trim. These for him are enough reasons to make you look forward to the boxing arena.

With the SoulCycle method of following every single order by the instructor, each class differs. Either way you get to enjoy the amount of time you spend in the ring as you experience body-sculpting, pound-shedding advantages.
In Glazers final words “It’s a battle for boxers to keep weight on. That’s a real testament to the effort that’s required of the sport.”
