The MTV Movie Awards went down this Sunday and the fact that it’s the 24th award ceremony gives us every reason to wonder how it played out back in the 90s.

Have you ever imagined how the red carpet looked in 1992?

Well, we were able to help you dig out some photos that we consider spectacular and pleasing to the eyes. From Demi Moore to En Vogue, we’ve culled some of the highlights from the 90s that made the first MTV Movie Awards ever!

 

Remember Rosie Perez? Well, she was definitely a queen of the 90s and we can’t begin this throw back journey without her beautiful picture. From the miniskirt to the combat boots and massive loop earrings, this outfit was one in town during the 90s.

Check out the very popular Chris Rock and Ice T, looking all gangster with their outfits. Those sunglasses were one in town and gosh that jersey, it still reigns till date or so we think!

And Cindy Crawford has shown that looking sexy is not an idea that came up today; it’s existed since the 90s and she obviously looks like a supermodel in town from those days

We have a lot to say about this picture especially given the fact that it’s Luke Perry but let’s leave at this- the smile takes away every other thought we had.

Have you heard of En Vogue? They existed before Destiny’s Child and their matchy-matchy style is absolutely called for. They look great though!

And here we have- Daryl Hannah with an appropriately casual denim jacket and ice-skater-esque dress.

The beautiful actress- Demi Moore put on a geisha-inspired outfit that was combined with black gloves and a pair of black shoes. Looking as stunning as always!

If you had a fantastic growing up, you’d remember the child of the 90s- Anna Chlumsky. That’s her in the picture above with a jacket that displays a lot! And yes! That’s Eddie Furlong beside her, looking very excited.

Fashion from the 90s gives us a lot of inspiration. Check out Tia Carrere’s rode hat and ruffle blouse and tell me if doesn’t give you and idea on the next outfit to wear.

Here’s Kimberly Williams-Paisley and that dress gives us a lot to think about. Let’s not even go to the red ribbon and what it does to the dress or the stripes that just don’t place. Whatever our thoughts are, she still looks great in those sheer black stockings. [Glamour]
