Gisele Bündchen in an emotional farewell runway walk on on Wednesday night, the 15th of April,2015 during the Sao Paulo Fashion Week
The rumours are true! and Gisele Bundchen will be retiring from the runway. We knew it was inevitable but we are pained at how soon it’s happening and the fact that we can’t do anything to stop it. Gisele is one of our favourites and sadly, she will be walking down her final runway this evening as she closes the show for a Brazilian brand Colcci at Sao Paulo Fashion Week.
According to Gisele “It’s very natural that her last show takes place in Brazil”. These were her words in an interview with a Brazilian newspaper on Saturday.
“After all, it is my country and where it all started.”

At the age of 14, Gisele became very popular internationally after she relocated to New York in 1997 where she was identified as a potential super-model by legendary fashion photographers Steven Meisel and Mario Testino. June 1999, she was the front cover of Vogue Italia and since then, she has grown to become one of the most highly-demanded models in the industry. From Dolce and Gabbana to Chanel, Gisele has become a household name in modelling.
On Instagram, Gisele wrote “I am grateful that at 14, I was given the opportunity to start this journey,”
