Gunilla Lindblad
Gunilla Lindblad, a flaxen-haired Swedish model who arrived Paris in 1968 never thought that she could access the opportunity of being casted as the ultimate haute hippie in Vogue.
In the early seventies, Gunnilla served as a model for her husband- Jean Pierre Zachariasen who was a fantastic photographer. Together, they created free-spirited fashion, incredible images and spirit of the times. They also revealed how the grass-root boho style could be achieved by women who were more interested in the look than the lifestyle.
These days, we find the seventies having a replay in the fashion world and with the festival season getting warmer, bohomania shows no signs of reducing it’s pace. With the likes of Kate Moss and Florence Welch being the current standard-bearers of the look, bohomania stretches into the late sixties and early seventies; In fact, it goes way back into the deepest archives of Vogue and takes us back to Gunilla.
