Two Teens Kidnapped and Held for Ransom

Just recently in Indianapolis, two young teenagers were kidnapped and held captive for a sum of money after their elder sister- Whitney Blackwell stole money from an ex-boyfriend.

Whitney, who happens to be a stripper at Club Venus, Detroit stole an amount totaling to $120,000 from her ex who is a suspected drug dealer- John Thomas. This action resulted in the kidnap of Whitney’s teenage siblings on Monday morning.

“He kidnapped my siblings because he couldn’t find me” the 27 year old (who is currently being charged for drug dealing told Indianapolis Star) in an exclusive jailhouse interview.

Feeling guilty, Whitney continued “If I would have just stayed, he would have just killed me and my kid and he won’t have hurt my brother and sister”. Admitting to the reasons she stole the money, Whitney stated that she only stole the money so that she could leave town with her child and boyfriend.

It was later reported that the kidnappers made Aaron (Whitney’s teenage brother) to call Whitney’s other brother- Stanley Pernell and demand for envelopes containing lots of money or face the risk of having his fingers chopped off.

Police officers were able to detect Aaron’s suspected location and later found him in the luggage compartment of an SUV after a serious chase with the kidnappers. Emma (Whitney’s teenage sister) was taken to Ohio Taco Bell by her kidnappers and given money to take a taxi home.

Pernell was then tracked down by the police to a house that has lots of money in several locations including under the trash can in the basement. Other suspects identified as Bernando Reeves, Ali Hussain Ashore, Mohammed Karkash, April Sandell, and Alaa Al-Salehi are being charged with conspiracy to commit kidnapping. If found guilty, they will face life imprisonment.

On the other hand, Whitney faces up to 30 years in prison if she is convicted of conspiracy to sell cocaine and Pernell also faces a conspiracy and burglary charge. [People]
