The show of Boobs and other forms of display of the female and male genitalia on runways, appear to be trending in this Winter / Fall 2015 fashion season.

Talking about boobs, this reminds me of reading the book, Enormous Boobs by Richard Benson. This book is full of fun and makes for a good read. However, boobs on catwalks and or the issue of female and male genitalia on runways, do take on a more serious note that could lead to serious debates. When it comes to design, one’s imaginations and the sky is the limit. Having said that, are the use of the human genitalia in fashion the next phase in fashion design?

In January 2015, designers such Rick Owen drove home this trend, by sending male models on the runway displaying lots of ‘penises‘, during the Men Fall Fashion Week season. And this trend was taken further when designers like Rachels, Antonoff and Comey also chose to use the female reproductive organ in sweater designs.

Parisan designers have picked on this trend once again, in an apparent response to the female and male genitalia that was trending in New York and London, respectively.

And when you really think about it, what’s more French than going topless? Helmut Newton epitomized it with his photos of Le Smoking in the ’70s, but the trend truly dates all the way back to Marianne herself, baring it all in Delacroix’s revolutionary painting of 1830. Liberté, égalité, nudité…it’s the Parisian way![Style.com]

Watch out for more surprises coming from Paris in this Fall 2015 Ready-to-Wear.
