Love Is Not Selfish – Love is everything but selfish.
In a lot of relationships, individuals find it very difficult to put their partners first. For some, it’s always me, me and me; while others consider the feelings of their partners only when they feel like it’s necessary. A successful relationship requires sacrifice and it takes abandoning the “me-first” mentality to find peace in that relationship.
Sometimes, people often wonder why their relationship didn’t work out or why they lost someone they really cared about in the most absurd way possible. It sometimes boils down to being selfish and unable to consider your partner especially when it’s not convenient for you.
The truth is, man is naturally a selfish being. However, it takes allowing God’s love to work within you in other to put others first.
If you can’t learn to love selflessly then you really don’t know what love is.
