Sharon and Muthoni – Horses and High Tea
Photography by Victor PeaceSo excited to share with you the second instalment of our special series with Muthoni Njoba! We wanted to do something a little different by showcasing pieces meant for a specific occasion and in this instance, we thought of highlighting outfits perfect for horse races and high tea: two things that have a very English ring to them.
I’ve never worn a fascinator before so this was an interesting accessory for me. Funny how head pieces tend to have a very regal feel to them – from fascinators to crowns! The pink, sequinned dress has this beautiful lace detail and a slight mermaid flair around the hemline which makes it a unique number for me. It also did wonders for my curves which you all know by now I’m always trying to accentuate!
Muthoni’s dress was an instant hit – one that led us to fall in love with it the moment she put it on. It’s not often that you’ll find plus size fashion featuring pieces that leave your shoulders bare in a beautiful, charming manner so when you do, you grab it! I love this dress on Muthoni for two reasons: 1) the teal colour is a winner that proves yet again that black isn’t always the answer; and 2) the neckline allows her to bare her beautiful shoulders. Win.
Hope you are inspired by the colours, textures and smiles in this post!
Love and love.

My favourite thing about it is the detail around the neck, it’s one of those dresses you don’t have to worry about accessorising. ~Muthoni Njoba
