It was recently revealed that Mohamed Emwazi- the Islamic State fighter who has been shown to behead Western Hostages of ISIS was bullied as a student.
This was revealed by his former headteacher in a shocking interview with BBC Radio 4’s today programme. She also spoke about the shock and horror that gripped her by reason of this revelation.
The Islamic fundamentalist who has been nicknamed “Jihadi John” has das MI5 officers questioning his head-teacher and other teachers from the previous schools he attended in Britain.
Jo Shuter, the former headteacher of Quintin Kynas, the academy where Mohamed Emwazi attended, spoke about the fact that even when she heard about his horrendous acts or watched it on television, it was difficult for her to come to terms with the fact that a once “hardworking” boy has now become a proud and fearless killer who features on ISIS videos from time to time.
She also went on to talk about the fact that he suffered from the regular issues facing most adolescents as a young boy and faced a lot of bullying while growing up at school.
Mohammed Emwazi was relocated from Kuwait to London at the age of six and also attended Quintin Kynaston- a flagship academy in London. Fears are now being publicized on the fact that pupils of that school might be suffering from radicalization as young teenagers. Miss Shuter also spoke on this fact and stated that there was no signs of pupils been radicalized even up until the point committing murder or killing innocent people.
“I can’t say when the radicalisation took place but I do know that we had no knowledge of it. If we did, we would have done something about it” she continued in her statement.
“He certainly didn’t present like that, we certainly had no information around those sorts of things.” She continued.
Mohamed Emwazi graduated from the University of Westminster which is now been claimed to be targeted by Islamic fundamentalists.
