VALENTINES DAY: EVERYDAY OR ONCE A YEAR?
This article was prompted by a statement made by a quote that caught my eye: “In the right relationship, everyday is Valentine”. This statement struck me and the truth in those words dawned on me heavily. We celebrate Valentines day once a year with loads of excitement, chocolates, teddy-bears and prolonged outings which we hope to cherish for life. However, we forget that “true-love” is not supposed to be celebrated once in a year.
The happiness, joy, laughter and smiles that comes with “love” shouldn’t be locked down to one day. As much as I respect the theory behind the celebration of Valentines day, I take exception to the intense display of love on just one single day. If you love somebody, let them know every single day; make them smile every single day; shower them with chocolates and teddy-bears as often as possible. We only live once and truly love once, let’s make that love worth-while.
