Genevieve Nnaji : I think everybody prioritize that, and so I am

I thought I should bring you today, an excerpt from a recent interview that our Actress, Singer and Entrepreneur Genevieve Nnaji, gave with Olisa Adibua, on the programme, “The Truth”. In the interview, Genevieve opened up and shared a lot a about herself. And one of the topical issues on board, during the interview was about the current status of Genevieve’s relationship.
As a social person, Genevieve is accomplished. As a career person, she's made a tremendous impact in her career as a performing Artist. As a matter of fact, Genevieve is decorated citizen of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. And Money too is not an issue for Genevieve. Gene is a hard-worker and her efforts to be self made has paid off.
So, if there is anything that Genevieve desires now in life, it is to settle down. She does’n’t hide that, as you’d find out during the course of the interview reproduced here in this post.
However, make no mistake about this: Much as Genevieve desires to settle down with a man as a husband, she is also not in a rush to just go for anything. Even though in 2013, there were several rumours about Genevieve having found her Mr. Right, put all those rumours aside. We are now in year 2014, and Genevieve says, she’s still single.
Indeed Gene is hot and ripe for marriage, but she is also not desperate.
Now, a segment from the interview:
Olisa : Now, let’s talk about relationships. Are you currently in one? Are you thinking of settling down at some point in time?
Gene : I am …. you know, I think everybody prioritize that, and so I am … it is not that I don’t want to settle down. I want somebody.
Olisa : It looks like you are looking for the perfect guy.
Gene : I am not looking. We are not suppose to look. How do we look? Are we suppose to look? I am a woman, we are not suppose to look.
Olisa : When was the last time you had a boy friend or do you have one now?
Gene : No I don’t have a boyfriend.
Olisa : This got to be the truth, Genevieve?
Gene : No, I don’t have a boyfriend now.
Olisa : Okay, so when was the one time you had one?
Gene : How much time do you guys have?
Olisa : Okay, what are you looking for in a man? What is your ideal person? What are you looking for in a guy?
Gene : I am not somebody who eats with the eyes. Definitely, there has to be a physical attraction drawing me to you, but at the end of the day, it is your mind that I am going to fall in love with. There is something that draws me to you and that keeps me. I just think that I am probably looking for a friend, I am probably looking for somebody who shares a like mind. And somebody who is confident.
Olisa : Okay, does it has to a tall guy or a short guy?
Gene : It has to be a tall guy. I like tall guys, you know, I am short and you have to think of the kids.
Olisa : What do you think of a lot of guys who are scared of you. They are saying, she is good looking, she is successful, she’s got her own career. Ah, let me leave her alone?
Gene :Then he is a baby, he is a boy. I am not looking for a boy, I am looking for a man. Men don’t let stuff like that, such artificial things like that intimidate them.
Olisa : Would you mind a guy who is not as rich as you?
Gene : How much money do I have?
