A lot of times, when things go wrong in our relationship we tend to blame that person, that thing, that video, that text message, that girl, that guy and we forget to check ourselves. We allow ourselves to get distracted by other possible causes of “relationship challenges” without taking time to examine where we went wrong.
Today, I’m going to be sharing with you on taking responsibility for your relationship and I want you to take time to examine your own relationship.
When things go wrong, do you point an accusing finger; do you judge your partner without examining yourself; do you find every reason to exonerate yourself from the blame and push it to the next possible culprit?
If you answered “yes” to any of these questions then you’re guilty of not taking responsibility for the success of your relationship and you need to do the right thing. The reason your relationship is not working out is because you and your spouse have refused to take responsibility for the success of that relationship. Stop making excuses and start facing your challenges head-long; stop hating on the supposed “causes” of your misfortune and start taking responsibility. Nobody has the power to ruin your relationship except you and your partner allows them.
