When Marriage Fails – A lot of times, I meet and interact with couples who seem very unhappy about their marriage and have reasons why they are tired of marriage. They want to walk out of the marriage but can’t either because of their children or the values they believe and uphold.
For them, they feel that their marriage has failed. They’ve done everything within their power to save their marriage but all symptoms reveal that their marriage is heading for the rocks.
Today, I’m going to be sharing with you “Tips that will revive your marriage even when it feels like it is failing”
FIND OUT WHY: Behind every failed marriage is a very cogent reason. When marriage fails, you must take a step to making it work by identifying what the problem is. Take a step back and review your marriage then determine what went wrong; what you or your spouse didn’t do right; why your marriage-ship is sinking. This is simply because before you can provide solution to any issue, you must carefully identify the issue otherwise you will beat around the bush
DON’T GIVE UP ON YOUR MARRIAGE: When marriage fails, don’t write it off; don’t shake your head and move on; don’t make decisions that you will live to regret; don’t give up on your marriage. Remind yourself of why you married that gentle-man, that intelligent lady that once made your heart skip a beat every-time you set your eyes on them. With determination, give your best to making your marriage work; make sacrifices where necessary as long as you’re not going against the will of God. What matters is that you have a strong resolution to make your marriage work and with that resolution, you will love your spouse unconditionally and work with him/her to resolving any marital crisis.
SEEK GOD: Marriage is an institution that is ordained by God. When it feels like your marriage is failing, go back to the author of beautiful marriages and talk to him. Don’t start running from one friend, person to another seeking advice that might not be beneficial. After all, people can only advice from their perspective; they are not wearing your shoes and so they really don’t know how much it hurts. The person you need to run to is the One that makes all things beautiful in His time. Ask God to revive and restore your marriage. Seek His face concerning the problems in your marriage and receive the wisdom to do things right.
