Over time, a lot of people in relationships have been accused and found guilty of cheating. Cheating has become like a canker-worm that is eating fast into the fabric of so many relationships. What makes it more amusing is the fact that some people don’t actually see any wrong in it. A lot of people cheat because they lack adequate knowledge and today I am going to be sharing with you nuggets that will empower you to stay faithful and committed in a God-ordained relationship.
Commitment in any relationship can do even more than you know to the relationship and the individuals in that relationship. So then, what is the power of commitment?
HELPS YOU TO STAY FOCUSED IN LIFE: When you’re committed to a relationship, you’re not interested in cheating or bothered about the repercussions of cheating. You are not distracted by things or persons who can lead to the downfall of a relationship you’ve invested so much in. More importantly, commitment has a way of infusing you with a high drive of focus that enables you to be in the right frame of mind that will foster achievement of one’s goals and dreams.
NO UNPLEASANT MEMORIES: If you’ve cheated in the past on someone you love, the memories will forever haunt you especially if they were highly committed to you. Being involved in a relationship that has too many secrets born out of non-commitment will give rise to unpleasant memories that can be very harmful to that relationship.
GOD HONOURS YOU AND YOUR RELATIONSHIP: Let me not even begin with the part where non-commitment is a sin against your partner and ultimately against God. When you decide to commit yourself to your beloved, you are not only doing the right thing; you’re also pleasing God. And when you please God, he honors you and all that pertains to you including your relationship.
