STAY VOID OF BEING OFFENDED – How do you cast a glance away from hurtful words and statements?
How do you apologize even when you’re not the offender? How do you stay void of offences?
One of the quickest ways to losing your focus for the day is by getting entangled in offences. The truth is this “as long as you breath, people will definitely offend you”.
Today, I’m going to be talking to you on staying void of being offended.
Of course, it’s impossible to stay void of offences but it’s not impossible to stay void of being offended.
When people do things that hurt you, it is not the time for you to reminisce on how wicked they are but a time for you to find a place in your heart to forgive them and take them to God in prayers specifically requesting for a positive change of heart on their behalf. In fact, when you pray for them, you let go and let God. You give yourself breathing space and find it easier not to be offended with them.
Jesus said that when people strike us on the right we should turn to the left. How often do you practice this? When people offend you, do you allow yourself to get worked up and then plan a smooth revenge. Offences will always arise but you can decide to be offended or not; it’s a decision that completely boils down to you.
