This shouldn’t be a topic or an issue because if you are genuinely in love with the person you’re dating then you should automatically be committed to what you share with him/her. However, this is not always the case with a lot of people and some even find it extremely difficult to stay committed in a relationship.

Today, I’m going to share with you various tips that will enable you to develop “commitment-consciousness” in your relationship.
Be sure you’re with “the-one”: One of the keys to being in a committed relationship is to make sure that you are with the one. You are with that person who makes you happy and gives you a future to look forward to. Ensure that you are not dating that individual because of pity, loneliness, rejection or revenge but you are with him/her because they mean the world to you and without him/her your life feels miserable and your heart hurts like crazy.
Decide to be faithful: Being faithful is a decision you must take knowing fully well the consequences of being an unfaithful partner. In your heart, you must make a pact with God that you will be faithful and committed to your partner at all times; that you will love you partner for better or for worse; that you will be with them come what may; that you will love them the same way Christ loves the church.
Don’t tempt yourself: A lot of times, the reason people cheat or find it difficult to be committed to a partner is because they put themselves in positions where they can’t say “no” to temptation or someone who will cause them to “cheat”. For example, if you’re in a relationship, you shouldn’t be visiting other guys/ ladies (who like you) at odd hours knowing full well that you could regret it. Beyond this, you shouldn’t give any guy/lady the chance to come close enough to making you cheat on your partner. You can’t play with fire and not expect to get burnt.
Be wise today and make a decision to stay committed to your one true love by deciding to be faithful and exhibiting wisdom at all times.
