WHY I WOULD MARRY HIM
A lot of ladies have found their selves in positions where they’ve had to decide on whether or not they want to spend the rest of their life with a guy who proposed to them. A friend of mine once told me that if a guy proposed to you and couldn’t give him an “on-the-spot-yes” then you probably don’t want to be with him. As much as I want to agree with this, a part of me tells me that it’s not just about “saying yes instantly” when a guy proposes to you but then you must be very sure beyond reasonable doubt that you want to be with him for the rest of your life.
I have someone in my life who I have come to know, understand and grow with; if he asked me to marry him now, I will say yes without thinking twice and here’s why:
HE’S SPIRITUAL: Let me go a little “churchy”. The Bible tells us that to be carnally minded is “death” and to be spiritually minded is “life”. A guy who isn’t spiritually minded will never give you the peace of mind that should be enjoyed in life. I would marry him because he is spiritually-minded and is more interested in pleasing God than pleasing me. The truth is this; if he doesn’t love God genuinely, he can never love you sincerely. This is simply because love is God and God is love; therefore, whosoever loveth is of God.
I can spend my life with him being rest assured that no spiritual or physical battle will tear us apart or subdue our relation-SHIP. I can be with him knowing that his fear of God will constantly keep him in check and direct the course of our lives together.
HE IS VISION-DRIVEN: He might not have all the money in the world but as long as he is vision-driven then we’re good to go. He knows where he’s going, he knows what he wants to achieve, he knows where he wants to get to and how he wants to get there. He has a vision that he is running with and he is very much driven by this vision. I would marry him because he is vision-driven and therefore has a passion to succeed at his vision. He might not be where I want him to be but he is working with his best to get there.
HE LOVES ME AND DOESN’T HIDE IT: His love for me is genuine, his love for me is sincere, his love for me is honest, his love for me is like the kind of love described in 1 Cor 13:1-13. His love for me is not ashamed; his love for me oozes with every fibre of his being; his love for me is seen in his actions towards me, my dreams and my life; his love for me reminds me of the love that Christ has for the church. I would marry him because he loves me and doesn’t hide it.
