First of all, what is prayer?

Prayer is a two way communication between man and God. You are not just talking to God but you are also listening to his response.

One of the many reasons why relationships fail is because individuals have a lackadaisical attitude towards the importance of prayers in a successful relationship.

Today, I’m going to be showing you ways by which prayer help your relationship:

It strengthens the cord of your relationship: There is a famous saying which states that “The couple that prays together stays together”. This is quite true. If you want to remain together as a couple, you must learn to pray together. Pray for each other, pray for your respective families, pray for you goals and most importantly pray for your future. Prayer has a way of uniting the bond between you and your spouse. It strengthens and preserves the bond of a relationship. It binds you and your spouse to God. Remember, a cord of three (3) strands can’t be easily broken.

It keeps your relationship from “seen” and “unseen” obstacles: Every relationship is threatened by what I call “seen” and “unseen” obstacles. In plain terms, these are forces that are not keen on seeing you make a success of your relationship. They can come in form of jealous friends, regular individuals who take interest in your spouse, persons not in support of your relationship, etc. More often than not, these forces will wage war against your relationship and if you don’t war in prayers, they can put an end to your relationship.

It tells you the mind of God per time on your relationship: Sometimes, God might want you to take a particular step in your relationship and if you are not sensitive in prayer, you can end up taking the wrong step and not the “God-ordained” step. Remember that prayer is a two-way communication between you and God; you’re not just talking to Him, you’re also hearing what he has to say to you.

Make prayer a regular constant in your relationship and enjoy the best of God’s goodness in your relationship
