THE POWER OF APPRECIATION IN A RELATIONSHIP

The power of appreciation in every relationship can’t be under-estimated

They often say that the key words in life include “Please”, “Excuse” and “Thank you”. Well today, I’m going to be narrowing my focus down to “Thank you” and its benefits in a relationship.

The power of appreciation in every relationship can’t be under-estimated and the sooner you understand this, the better.

Why you should learn to say thank you-

It works like magic: A lot of people often find it very difficult to say “Thank you” to others how much more to their spouses. What they don’t know however is that “Thank you” is a magic word that can turn frowns into smiles and make the best of an unpleasant situation.

Everybody likes to be appreciated and your partner is not an exception. For every little gesture, action or reaction, a simple “I appreciate you” or “Thank you very much” won’t hurt at all.

It preserves the posterity of a relationship: When things go sour or they don’t seem to be working out as planned, “thank you” has a way of reminding your partner why they chose you in the first instance. It is like heat that melts a plate of butter and it like a tool that can also soften the most rigid heart. You should learn to appreciate your spouse because it preserves the posterity of your relationship.

If you don’t appreciate your partner, someone else will: What a lot of people don’t know is that people can get frustrated in a relationship by reason of lack of “appreciation”. If you don’t tell your partner thank you, someone else will gladly do it for you. The Bible says that we shouldn’t give room for the devil; in this case, not saying thank you gives room for others to take away what you’ve toiled for and invested in your relationship.
