The Maxi Skirt Statement

According to Wikipedia, maxi skirts can be described as a long skirt that streamlines to the ankle and the trend of maxi skirts dates back to the late 1970s.

Maxi skirts are fashion pieces that most girls are scared of wearing, most ladies feel it would never look good on them. I liked seeing them on people but I never thought it would look good on me, I was to scared to try it, until I tried it and it looked really good.

One of my favorite things about maxi skirts is that it is a fashion piece that can be worn in any season, and it can be worn either casually or when you feel like dressing up, either way, a maxi skirt makes you look really fabulous, as long as you compliment them with the right blouse and shoes. I personally prefer to wear them with a tank top and a jacket to compliment.

There are several types of maxi skirts ranging from the gypsy, A-line, column maxi skirt and others..

The gypsy skirts which can also be referred to as the Bohemian skirts, consist of soft fabrics of different patterns which are sewn together, some also consist of solid colors of different fabrics.
